What better way to reinvigorate my site than with some positive news? Imagine Mental Health, in association with the London Borough of Merton, are running an art exhibition of Service Users’ artworks – including a number of mine own – in honour of World Mental Health Day at Wimbledon Library Gallery. Such is the importance accorded the event that it will run for the whole week of 10 to 15 October, 2011.
The deadline for submission was October 7 th and the works submitted were hung on the 8th. The opening, on October 10th, will be attended by some of the artists and representatives of Imagine Mental Health; all are welcome.
Works are being sold at 0% commission and so all monies raised go directly to the artists. Works may currently be bought through Laurie at Imagine Mental Health at the Gallery, although certain digital files may be bought from this site. Catalogue and further information to follow.
For photos of the hanging and exhibited works, please, see the Gallery or the Wimbledon Exhibition 2011 page
